I live in the woods, near Itasca State Park. Look for Bemidji and I am west 30 miles. We have 40 quiet acres. Lots of wildlife. I also love dogs, We used to raise and show Great Pyrs. We had some success enjoyed it for 25 years. I have 2 house dogs, a papilion (my daughter's)) and I rescued a black pug and gave him to my husband for valentines.
I started my fibro adventure, about 20 years ago. Back when they gave you the answer because it didn't fit anything else.
The miracle that helps me is 25 mg of amitryptalin.
I would get better results if I could take 40, but I work at 7:00 each morning and at 9:00 i could hardly stay awake.
Without it, my hand and arm pain is not bearable. I have given up so much because of it, brushing the dogs, pulling weeds, sewing, etc... I have been lucky though because my back and legs are not involved.
My scary side of it is it affects my vision. my eyes do not track, which makes sense I guess. My prisims go wonky and headaches of course.
I have pulled perhaps a dozen stringers the last couple days has made my hands sore today, so not torch work today.
I will have to explore the web today.
I just signed up for the lampwork site, and did a search on members location and found you. You had posted your blog address and I found you here. Actually, you are the 1st blog I have ever looked at. There are no lampworkers up here, so I too look forward to meeting others so I can learn more.

Where do you live?

Hi MaryBeth! What part of Minnesota do you live in? Would love to get meet you sometime. I'm curious to how you found my blog? Look forward to chatting with you and talking about your Fibro. I haven't found much that helps yet, was wondering if you have. Thanks for the comment.

Hello,
I am very new to lampworking and live in Northern MN.
I also struggle with Fybro. I am so sorry to hear of your flair up and pain.
I am trying to learn to pull stringers and twisties for my larger warm glass construction.
And hope to learn the ropes around my minor to eventually make beads.
Would love to meet other torchers, to learn more.
Hope you are feeling better soon.

Sincerely,
MaryBeth
